AI Plan Takeoff That Goes Straight Into Your Quote.
Upload the plans and the AI does the first pass of the takeoff: a dot on every symbol it counts, lines and areas on what it measures, and the scale read off the sheet. You check it, tap or drag what is off, and the quantities are priced from your own price book onto a quote you can send.
A GC emails a 15-sheet plan set at 4pm Friday, due Monday. Doing the takeoff by hand costs you your whole weekend, so you either guess the number or skip the bid.
A Dot On Every Count
Every symbol it counted gets a dot on the sheet. Tap to add one it missed, tap again to take one away.
Lines And Areas You Can Drag
Runs and areas are drawn right on the plan. Drag a point or redraw it and the feet update.
Scale Checked Against The Dimensions
It reads the sheet's scale note, checks it against the printed dimensions, and warns you when they disagree, like a half-size print.
Takeoff To Quote To Job
Quantities are priced from your price book. The marked-up plan stays on the quote and in the job's Files.

How It Works
Upload your plans
Open a quote, tap AI Plan Takeoff and upload the plan set PDF or a photo of a sheet - the file sitting in your email.
The AI does the first pass
It reads the scale note and checks it against the printed dimensions, counts each symbol against the sheet's own legend, reads the schedules and measures runs and areas.
You check it on the sheet
Every count is a dot, every run a line, every area an outline. Tap to add or remove a dot, drag or redraw a line, and tap two ends of a known dimension to check the scale.
It becomes the quote
Each quantity is priced from your price book. Fix a count and you can push it to the quote. The marked-up plan is saved on the quote and in the job's Files tab.
A Takeoff App Built For Your Trade
The AI only lists what your trade installs. An electrician does not get the ductwork, and a plumber does not get the light fixtures.
Electrical takeoff
Light fixtures, receptacles, switches and detectors counted against the sheet's legend, with a dot on each one. Panels and circuit types read from the panel schedule.
Plumbing takeoff
Fixtures and drains counted from the plan symbols and the fixture schedule. Water heaters and other equipment listed once. Pipe runs as lines you can drag or draw.
HVAC takeoff
Diffusers and grilles counted off the mechanical sheets. Units and condensers from the equipment schedule. Duct runs as lines you measure on the plan.
Remodel takeoff
Square feet of floors and rooms as areas, linear feet of walls and trim as lines, and doors and windows read from the schedules.
Concrete takeoff
Slabs, driveways and flatwork as areas in square feet. Curbs, edges and forms as linear feet. Drag a corner and the number updates.
Landscape takeoff
Beds, sod and pavers as areas, edging as linear feet, and plants drawn as symbols with a legend counted with dots.
The AI Does The First Pass. You Check It.
It is a head start, not a bid you send blind. Here is exactly what to expect.
Counts you can see
Every count is a dot on the sheet, so you check it at a glance instead of trusting a number. On a busy multi-sheet set, check every sheet got counted before you price it.
Lines and areas to drag
The lines and areas the AI draws are a rough first draft. Drag the points into place or redraw them, and the feet update.
Scale you can prove
Feet-and-inches dimensions are checked against the scale note. Tap two ends of any known length to check it yourself, and it warns you on a half-size print.

What is a takeoff?
A takeoff is the list of quantities on a set of plans - how many fixtures, how many feet, how many square feet. Normally you count and measure it by hand on screen. Here the AI does the first pass, you check it, and it is priced into a quote.
Is the AI takeoff exact?
No, and we will not pretend it is. It is a first pass you check. On a busy plan set it can miss symbols or skip a sheet, which is why every count is a dot you can see, add or remove. Lines and areas the AI draws are rough first drafts, sometimes far off, meant to be redrawn or dragged into place.
What if my plans only have a scale note?
It uses the scale note. When the sheet also has feet-and-inches dimensions it checks the note against them, and when they disagree it uses the dimensions and tells you why - for example a half-size print. With no dimensions to check against, do the two-tap scale check on any length you know before you trust the feet. Only feet-and-inches dimensions are cross-checked today.
Does it work on scans and photos of plans?
Yes, but a scan or photo has no drawing lines for the dots to snap to, so the dots are a best guess and show dashed. Check those sheets a little closer. A PDF exported from the architect's software gives the best result.
Where is the takeoff saved?
On the quote and in the job's Files tab, with every dot, line and area. It opens on your phone with pinch to zoom, and changes are logged with who made them and when.
What kinds of files work?
Plan set PDFs and photos of a sheet get the drawing takeoff. Word documents and text bid requests are read for their scope of work. For a big set, upload just your trade's sheets for the best count.
How is this different from takeoff software?
Most takeoff tools make you click every symbol and trace every run yourself, then export a spreadsheet. Here the AI does the first pass, and the result is a quote you can send, then a job and an invoice - no export, no re-typing.
How much does AI Plan Takeoff cost?
It is part of the AI Quotes add-on: 25 AI quotes for $150/mo (50 for $250, 100 for $400), each one counted once whatever AI tools it uses.
